User count settings would not be applicable to personal subscriptions.
Update settings -
Update max user count :
Go to Settings (Cog icon on right top) > Manage apps > General settings (In Vamhi Jira+)
Specify the value in the screen below to restrict all group subscriptions exceeding the specified size.
Test settings -
STEP-1 Create a Filter :
STEP-2 Attempt Subscription Creation :
Try to create subscription for any filter with group whose user-count greater than the threshold.
STEP-3 Restrict Subscription Creation :
It will restrict users to create subscription for that group with descriptive popup message.
STEP-4 Editing Subscription :
Manage subscriptions screen it will also add up a functionality to restrict editing the subscription which is having two cases.
i - Same Group Name Updates : Any updates to subscriptions with the same group name will be restricted irrespective of other parameters.
ii - Updates with Different Group Name : Updates to subscriptions with a different group name will be restricted if the new group's user count exceeds the defined threshold. If the group's user count remains within the threshold, subscriptions will be updated accordingly.
How to see user group count ?
→ Go to JIRA ADMINISTRATION settings > click User management > click Groups.
